Flash Ad Specifications
Supported Positions
All standard ad positions can use Flash creative with the exception of newsletter units.
Required Files
For each Flash creative the .swf, .fla and backup .gif or .jpg file must be included. The .fla file will be used for troubleshooting only.
Flash Version
If the user does not have a Flash player installed on their machine, a backup .gif or .jpg will be served. Our standard Flash version is Flash 7. (We can accept up to Flash 10.) All prior versions are acceptable. Please note the higher the version of the Flash ad, the more the users will see the back up image. Go to Adobe's Flash Player Version Penetration page for an estimated percentage of users that have a particular version.
ActionScript Version
We will only accept files created with ActionScript 2.0 at this time.
clickTAG
All Flash ads must use clickTAG method to define the destination URL variable. Creatives that do not have the clickTAG method correctly implemented will be rejected. Classified Advertising/Directory of Advisers Listing
The Global Directory of Advisers, which is included in each issue of Family Business and on http://www.familybusinessmagazine.com, permits a highly targeted, low-cost classified advertising opportunity for those who want to reach the owners of family businesses around the world.
Standard categories for listing are: Academic Programs/Family Business Centers, Accountants, Appraisal & Valuation Firms, Attorneys, Business & Estate Planning Consultants, Family Business Consultants, Financial Institutions, Insurance Services, Investment Banking Firms, Mediation, Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity Capital and Wealth Management. Other special categorization for listings may be requested.
Each annual insertion includes:
- Print representation in four quarterly Family Business issues
- Online representation at http://www.familybusinessmagazine.com for one year.
A basic listing in the Directory costs $300 (same ad copy for four issues). Subscribers to Family Business Magazine receive the discounted rate of $200. A basic listing includes one organization name, address, telephone, facsimile, e-mail, website, contact name and title under one category.
An optimized listing includes the basic information above plus additional information, such as description of services or additional contacts. The cost is as above, plus $20 per word for the enhanced portion of the listing.
An additional category reference includes the company name and the words "see listing under [main category]." The cost is $75. Subscribers to Family Business Magazine receive the discounted rate of $50.
Company logos can be inserted in the print edition of the magazine. The cost is $50 (black and white) or $100 (color) for four issues.
Changes to a firm's directory listing prior to the annual renewal date cost $25 per item changed.
